There are many different
ways to clean carpets and upholstery. From those 'miracle' chemicals and
machines advertised on TV for do-it-yourself cleaning to professional systems of
all kinds. There are 'dry' cleaning methods in which a powder, foam, or
other cleaning agent is applied, agitated, then vacuumed. However, these methods
are not very efficient for deep cleaning and some of these can add contaminants
to your carpets.
